Nestled in the heart of Port Talbot at 107 Station Rd, Fresco is not just a café; it's a delightful escape for food lovers and coffee enthusiasts. This charming establishment is a hidden gem that promises a welcoming atmosphere and an array of comforting dishes that will leave you wanting more.

As you step inside Fresco, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and baked goods envelops you, creating an inviting ambiance that's perfect for a leisurely breakfast or a casual snack. The café's ambiance strikes a fine balance: it feels cozy yet lively, making it an ideal spot to catch up with friends or simply unwind alone.

The menu at Fresco is noteworthy and appeals to a wide range of tastes. If you are in the mood for a scrumptious breakfast, don’t miss their popular options. The Big Breakfast (£7.90) features a delightful medley of sausages, bacon, eggs, and hash browns that is sure to satisfy even the heartiest of appetites. For those who prefer something lighter, the Plain Omelette (£5.90) and the delectable American Pancake Bacon Stack offer a balanced option without compromising on flavor.

Once you've savored your meal, you must treat yourself to something sweet. The Apple Pie served warm, with a swirl of custard, is a local favorite that encapsulates comfort in every bite. Alternatively, the tempting Cheesecake and luscious Banana Split & Ice are perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth.

The accolades Fresco has received from patrons truly speak volumes. One visitor, Becky Crawshaw, describes it as a "hidden gem" and emphasizes the "lovely sausages, bacon, and great coffee," alongside friendly service that has them planning a return visit. This sentiment is echoed by others who have praised the café's exceptional breakfast options. Joshua Chamberlain, for instance, shared his delight at finding this local recommendation during his visit from Cardiff, highlighting the fresh, perfectly cooked food at a wallet-friendly price.

It's worth noting, however, that some diners have pointed out limitations like the absence of card payment options and occasional variability in food expectations. But these small details hardly overshadow the overwhelmingly positive experiences reported by most customers.

Fresco is not just a place to grab a bite; it’s a community hub where friendly staff warmly welcome you, ensuring your dining experience is memorable. With outdoor seating available under cover, you can enjoy your meal while soaking in the local atmosphere — a little touch that makes your visit even more enjoyable.

Next time you find yourself in Port Talbot, make your way to Fresco, and discover for yourself the warmth and culinary delights that keep locals returning time and again. Whether it's breakfast, a mid-morning snack, or a cozy afternoon treat, Fresco positions itself as a must-visit café that genuinely understands the comfort of good food and service.

Excellent, food was great, cooked well, eggs done nicely, not the overcooked burnt eggs you normally get in cafe's, custom food ordered was done correctly, nice service, got asked 5 times if everything was ok, was a bit OTT but a nice change none the less, I am the type of person to say if anything was wrong, will be going again, super food.

Food can be not to customers expectations and the chef may insist for you to have something 'on the house' just a heads up. Otherwise, food is of good standard but sometimes it's not always to your satisfaction. On the other hand, the Cafe does not accept card payments which is something that could be advanced on within the establishment. I ask for this establishment to accept card payments from all major bank cards as this would be a better way of drawing more customers to the Cafe rather than them withdrawing cash.
